Facing the immense obstacles of gradually losing his hearing and sight, he has consistently broken through the limitations of life with unwavering faith and indomitable spirit, serving deaf and blind people around the world.
The TOUCH the heart art exhibition for the hearing-impaired will showcase Dr. Cyril Axelrod’s latest book, Conquest of Darkness, which chronicles his extraordinary journey of moving from London to Macau at the age of 83 to begin a new chapter in his life. This is not only a record of overcoming physical limitations but also a profound revelation about self-awareness, community connection, and spiritual insight, hoping to dispel misunderstandings about the world of the hearing-impaired and inspire people.
